I got bad luck.

I built my first computer the other day, which came out ok, but I've got some issues.

First, the CPU was lost in shipping. Had to get a refund (pending), and bought another to replace it.
Second, my rheostat for my case fans isn't working, so I've just RMA'd the case.
Third, the freaking software disc for my DVD burner has some sort of green glue all over the face of the disc! And this is from the inside of the protective case! So, I've emailed the manufacturer to see about getting a replacement.

Sheesh, and I thought the automotive field was a PITA!

End rant. Goodnight...oh, and who won the Superbowl?

Sorry to hear about your tribulations with the new PC...Unfortunatly the satisfaction ratio is only about 75% and 1 out of every 15 electronic components will be faulty. Odd to have so many problems with one build, but I guess thats just Murphy's Law huh?

Just think of it this way...atleast your not using a Mac! That always makes me feel better

j/k all you mac enthusiasts

1 out of 15 components faulty? Who do you buy from because that number is ridiculously high...

I'm pretty sure I read it in a thread from a while back...Perhaps I misread or have just goofed up the whole ratio. Ill try and find it, and get my facts straight.

The only thing "faulty" was the case rheostat the way I read it. The screwed up CD really isn't a "component".
