I watched the original Poseidon the other night. I actually liked the newer one better. Almost the exact same people die and the same stuff happens to them, so they were basically the same. I just liked the newer one because the special effects were better.

I also watched School of Rock which I thought was pretty good.

Cricket, Delicatessen sounds like a very strange movie. I can't decide if I should watch it or not. Seems like a movie that would keep me up at night, but it seems very intriguing.

Last Movie I watch was Munich....Good Movie but Spielberg endings lately have been a little bit of a let down in my opinion. Munich and A.I. are the ones that come to mind, it's like if Spielberg can't make his mind up on how to end the movie, so he just throws a whole bunch of things at the end of the moive hoping to create the good ending. However, in my book he's failed in these two movies at least.

Delicatessen is a movie I've wanted to see for over two years now and I finally was able to pick it up at Suncoast the other week and thought it was very original, but very weird. I've watched other movies by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and knew it was going to be different, but this one was pretty out there...it was almost like watching a David Lynch movie.

If you like watching foreign movies and understand French humor, Delicatessen may be for you. But if you prefer standard Hollywood type movies you may want to pass on this one.

They're making so many comic book adaptations and re-makes because of the wide audiences who would be interested in seeing the movies. It's not all about the money, because us fans eat it all up and then some.

In today's age, tried and true is sometimes a better risk than new and unique.

I just watched Munich and thought it was really good. I agree about the end, Strider, it did seem like there was too much in there. Otherwise, a really good movie.

I also watched Firewall, which was OK. It wasn't very believable, but a good action flick regardless.

I used to collect comics but I didn't care for some of the earlier comic movie adaptations. But with the quality of CG now I do find myself enjoying some of the later adaptations...I never collected superhero comics so I usually pass on movies like Superman and Batman...but I did like Blade, Sin City, Constantine and Hellboy. I thought The Punisher (with Thomas Jane, not Dolph Lundgren) was okay. I really didn't care for Daredevil too much. I hear the X-Men movies are supposed to be pretty good but haven't seen any yet. And I understand they're going to be doing Watchmen soon...I enjoyed that comic series.

Currently I'm waiting for V For Vendetta to come out on DVD, that's another comic series I really enjoyed.

I watched "Click" today, which stars actors like Adam Sandler and Kate Beckinsale.

Looking back at Sandler's track record, one would expect mindless humour and crude jokes, but that's only the tip of the iceberg in this movie.

Click is more dramatic and emotional in all the right places, and even managed to make me cry at the most climactic point.

Funny, and serious, and definately not the same as a typical "Sandler" film. Makes you stop and consider life's little details. The trailers don't tell you quite enough, and for good reason Anybody else see it?

Sandlers movies gradually get more serious each time he makes one. It's only a matter of time before he makes a no humor drama movie.

saw Pirates 2 yesterday brilliant film, as good as the original. And if can stand waiting for 15 minutes untill all the credits are done, there is a special scene. You have to watch this film, especially if u enjoyed the first.

I am a big fan of the independent indie type movies. If you want to good one, check out Everything is Illuminated. Its about Elijah (sp?) Wood's charcter who tours through Ukraine trying to peice together his family history. Its pretty funny - I give it 2 tumbs up.

Although it was a good film, Pirates 2 regretably has no conclusion. I absolutely HATE films that do this in a matrix-like style, where there is considerable plot development but the ending is a while away.

The spiderman series doesn't do this, the star wars series doesn't do this, the xmen series doesn't do this, lord of the rings does this a tiny bit, but not to a great extent.

Also, I made my gf wait for the ridiculously long credits to finish, and I've got to say... that "special scene" was sooooo not worth waiting for. Thanks for the heads-up anyways though.

But yea, 786 is right - Pirates 2 is excellent. Although it was a bit too long and the ending was left up in the air for the next movie, it's hysterical and well worth a trip to the movies.

I finally watched Syriana last night and will need to watch it again...the story is a little heady for me to follow in just one viewing but I did enjoy it even if I didn't fully understand it. Reminded me of Traffic and The Constant Gardener.

We rented that for my brother a week or so ago and watched it. The dialogue and the main character (guide, dog handler) were a bit cheesy (also the fact that the dogs could break those chains so easily). Besides that I enjoyed it though.

did it look like they were making a copy of the tape? if that's the scene to which you are referring, then that's what they were doing in order to life the curst off the son. they were planning to show the copy to someone else (see Ring 2) so that the son would be saved,

I saw Clerks II on a date Saturday night. I have to tell you, that movie will make you squirm, laugh, then choke on your popcorn (because it's just so wrong). I think a quote from the main female character describes the movie perfectly. "That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, but I can't quit watching it."

I loved it.

Saw Piratas Del Caribe today (for the second time). I liked it quite a lot, though I felt it was a little less comical than the first. Also saw Superman Returns and I hated it. Wasn't the real superman, and I could be wrong here - so correct me, only super strong and a fast (due to jumping), becuase krypton has a greater gravitation pull.

The original movie attibuted his super strength due to the fact he had a much denser molecular structure than humans. It had nothing to do with Krypton's gravitational pull.

A couple weeks ago I saw a couple movies at the local drive-in.

The main film was Click, which was a really good movie. It was one of the first true quality films to come out.

The second was Little Man... the worst movie ever. I'm not kidding, it was horrible. We left after the first 20 minutes.

In case I forgot to mention it elsewhere, PotC 2 was the best movie I've seen since the first in the series.
