These being the great days of deregulation I can't be the only one who wondered how SBC got permission ot buy AT&T and change it's name to AT&T (The current CEO is the guy who first started pushing for the tiered internet-double dipping.)

I have always assumed that this was the case already, not just AT&T's traffic but essentially all internet traffic.
