SLA question
Just curious if someone asked you what was your SLA (I know what it stands for so no need to answer that), how would you verbally answer that? I appreciate any answers.

Which SLA are you refering to: Service Level Agreement/Software License Agreements and in what context?

SLA = service level agreement. this is an agreement that clearly defines the range of service that a company will guarantee.
IE: if you contract with a company to come out and fix your equipment. an SLA might say that they will come within 24 hours of the intial phone call. SLA in this case is 24 hours. or you contract for an internet line and you must have no less than 4mbps connectivity 99% of the time. you write that into the contract. |

You aren't getting more responses because it is hard to determine what you want. Are you doing a survey among people or do you want a more formal explanation?

I don't have a clue what my SLA is, and I don't really care. Being a residential DSL account, it probably doesn't even HAVE one.
Therefore, if someone asked me what my SLA was, I'd probably look at him like he was from Mars. |

heck, I didn't even know what it meant ether.
but if that is what it means, then my answer would be that I do all my own troubleshooting and repairs on everything, never bothered with warranties ever. |
