Question If I did this... would anything happen?

Hi...

If I removed my GeForce 6600 PCI-E card from the computer I'm on now, and put it in my new one to get it to post and set everything up, would any misconfiguration happen to my current computer? This computer has onboard video, too, so if I just switched the VGA cable to that, wouldn't everything be okay?

Thanks in advance.....

Honestly, I would just wait until all the parts for the new computer are in your hands.

If you remove your card from the current computer, set up the new one then put the card back, nothing should change... although I have seen instances where the system detects the card again and asks for a reboot, but everything stays normal. If you start that machine with the onboard video, you will have to set up the driver for the onboard vid, then when you switch back, set up the driver for the original vid card.
