That's pretty cool but what does "C.E." stand for? I presume it is a politically correct replacement for A.D.

I think CE stands for Common Era and BCE is Before Common Era. And yes they are intended to replace BC and AD by the non-religious community.

You're right. It was rather funny when my Religions teacher tried explaining it to us in my Westerns Religions class last semester though. He was like "They both start the beginning of civilized time at the death of Christ, so it's kind of pointless...but this is what we use."

We all got a good snicker out of it.

That is pretty funny....they want to change what it is called but they know they could never get away with changing how the years are numbered.
