What was this TV show
This is driving me crazzy ... even on the internet I can't get an answer...
When I was a kid, in the ealry 60s there was show on TV that was sort of a morality play for teens, teaching various lessons. It was on weekend mornings and later on weekday mornings. I think it was a screen gems presentation? I remember them singing the phrase "right time the light time." Might be the title? The show started with a host, talking about a specific point, like responsiblity. Then they would have the show, then the host would comment on the lesson learned. The one story I can remember was about a kid working at a school or business who kept being told respoonsible. Then one evening he leaves he place unlocked andhe later hears on the radio that another employee was attached by a thief who got in through the door he left unlocked. It seemed like this show was on a lot back then, which is why I am surprised no on else remembers it. And i can't find it on any old TV schedules. What I know for sure: - it ran between 1961 and 64 on Saturday mornings, late morning I think - it ran around 1966 on weekday mornings. anyone have any idea? |

Thanks... that has a lot of shows for the 60s, The Prisoner was great, no one could figure out what it was about.
Dang, I can't find the show, it ran in the mornings, so it may not be on such lists. I'll have to hope a perosn remembers. |

Could it have been a local TV show? Back in the 60's and early 70's local TV stations produce a lot of local programming that the Big Networks do now. If you think it might have been a local TV show I would recommend searching the Local TV stations websites and you might luck out for some (if not most) like to give a history of the TV station.

I agree 100% with Strider - as late as the late 70's most AM weekend programming was local in origin. The same holds true for weekday AM and afternoon programming.

Yeah, but I saw this show in various parts of the nation, while traveling.
The idea about contacting the local stations is good, there were only three in the day, might be able to get a schedule or find a person at the station who remembers. |
