Toshiba

I purchased a brand new Toshiba A-105 Satellite in September 2006. It just stopped working on November 20. It went to the preferred vendor on November 21 and to date I am still BATTLING with Toshiba regarding a refund. Has anyone else had this problem?

Are you trying for a refund or a fix? I dont think there is a vendor that allows more than 30 days for a return of a product. It should be under warranty and should be fixed by Toshiba. I've had a number of dealings with Toshiba's warranty program and have nothing but the best experience. If you paid by credit card, check with the credit card services to see if they will intervene on your behalf.

I can appreciate everything that you are saying, except the computer could not be repaired and they want to give me a credit minus taxes for me to purchase something from them and pay taxes again. I am APPALLED!

Is it Toshiba that wanted you to do this... or your vendor... if your vendor is asking this, I would go over their head to Toshiba... or find another auhorized warranty depot.

Statica, when was the last time you had to deal with Toshiba? They are not what they used to be, they are playing games like this now. It takes a couple months to get a replacement hard drive from them on warranty now.
