How do you like your oranges?
Ok, so I bought 15 Honeybell Tangerines today. The season for them is ending soon so I stocked up to give a few away to friends and family (they prefer oranges over chocolate, imagine that).
So I have a few sitting out in the open since the fridge is full. They're warm. I'm eating them now. I wish I cut up some refrigerated ones. With that said, do you prefer your orange to be cool (fridge temp or slightly warmer) or warm (room temperature)?

I dont eat them to often, though when i do, i like them cold. I always have a problem pealing them (dont eat them alot, haven't mastered the technique
), so i manage to mush half of it before actually eating it.

I got the lazy way - I slice them up into wedges and then go at them. I peel clementines though - they're too little to waste any juice in the slicing process.
Most people (including me) think tangerines are small. Honeybell tangerines are actually somewhat large - they're larger than the plum I have next to me and are the size of a large navel orange or regularly sized apple. They're also a bit too juicy/mushy to peel, which is why I prefer taking a sharp knife to them. mmm, blood oranges are also good. The fact that they freak some of my friends and family out is a bonus! |

I just remembered, my step grandfather actually eats them whole. If you give him an orange he will slice it and just start eating it (skin and all); i never found that appetizing.

I don't like eating oranges... only like orange juice.

I rarely eat oranges, but when I do they have to be really cold, straight from the fridge. I usually take the easy way out though and just drink a big glass of orange juice instead......less messy.

I usually get a box of tangerines during the Chinese New Year period. Around this week, maybe I'm receiving lotsa of these tangerines already. As usual, to eat 'em, just peel 'em and eat the contents. I like it cold, so I put 'em in the refrigerator too before eating it. Also, as a bonus, they have those little plastic bags for each orange so I reuse 'em to put the seeds and the orange peels.
