Talking Woo, 1024!

Ok, today is my 770th day at PCMECH, and I just officially hit post # 1024! Woo!

I just wanted to create a thread to say thank you. This forum and the community has taught me much, and I like to think that I taught someone else a thing or two as well.

This forum was my gateway forum, and is one of my two favorite ones (don't worry, the other is a modding forum and can't compete with the friendliness and professionalism that I find here). I find myself addicted - I check the forums several times a day almost every day.

Thank you again guys and gals for everything - for reading through my long posts, and my occasional silly comments (e.g. the tape measure thread).

You guys helped solve my random problems (except for the mystery when a ram upgrade killed the USB port on my uncle's printer), taught me how to troubleshoot my PCs, and gave advise regarding everything from routers to wives.

If I have never found this forum, I'd probably have gone sane, and that would be a tragedy!

So, thanks again everyone!!

(mwahaha now I get to choose a nice little avater).

It's time to play... Identify the avatar!

Uh huh. Bawbee, you have been around here long enough to know better. You still have several hours to edit your post, and I'd highly recommend that you do so. Politics and PCMech do not mix well.

Same goes for you, Stuey...........

Sorry GLC. Edited as requested. *slaps hand* I've gotten myself into trouble two days in a row now.

So anyways, I spent a few minutes before class preparing my avatar.

Now let's see who can identify what the picture is of!!

Dang, I wish I could add a poll to the thread. Maybe it'll be more creative if people have to guess for themselves?

Actually, I can see how it might look like a watermelon though.

After furthur study, my next guess would have to be a microscopic view of some tissue sample.

Only thing that avatar looks like to me is maybe a close up shot of some rhubarb or maybe a close up of one of those red frogs like live in the rain forests. And if that's not it, then Mr. Ferrari's answer seems like a good third choice.

Haha, I can honestly say, it's not rhubarb or rain forest red frogs (although those would be cool to get ahold of). The last time I've seen rhubarb was in Lancaster PA, at an Amish place.

I'll give you guys a hint - my fiance loves these but hates the smell of it.

Haha, maybe. I've got a sticker on the side of my printer - he's holding a plastic toy phone and says "put me through to the pentagon". *chuckles*

I like making my own avatars though. hmmm

Edit:

Ok, ok...

It's part of a Stargazer Lily!!

Thanks, hehe.

I took the shot with a Canon S3. I gave the bouqet to my fiance and then took a flash photo in the dark living room. Flash photo from up close = funnily looking, but the other photos were a lot worse.

I've got to figure out what can be used for round 4.
