I have been partitioning my hard drive with no luck!!!!
I currently have an 10Gb Hard Drive and I have it in two partioned using fdisk. One is 2gb (C-drive) and the other is 8gb (D-drive). Now I'm trying to make another partition on my d-drive using PM 4.0. My problem is that I'm able to partition and copy files to it but as soon as I reboot my computer that new partition disappears...need help pls... |

Let's see - 2 + 8 = 10 ..... 10 gig drive ......how are you making yet another partition? If you have boot sector write protect enabled in BIOS, nothing you do will stick.

Boot sector virus protection has the same effect, you won't be able to make new partitions with it enabled, disable it, make the new partitions, the re-enable it.

How much disk space is used on the 8gb partion? What is the size or sizes of the new partion you are trying to make.
If you have 2 gb of info on the 8gb partion, PM will not let you create a partion smaller than the amount of used disk space( in this senerio 2 gb is the smallest partion you would be able to create.) |
