Get UPS to leave my packages?

I have 3 packages coming in from newegg tommorow, two more on thurs or friday, and one more at an unknown time (when did they start splitting up orders for 12 items this much?!!)

Anyways. I run into the same problem with UPS shipping for newegg every time; nobody's home. Im at work from 8:30-5:30 (sometimes get out a little earlier, but it depends). My mom works, my dad works, and my sister...doesn't work, but is in Italy . Is there a form, or something I can fill out to tell them to leave it there (or better yet, at the next door neighbors, since they accidentaly ship my packages there sometimes anyway?). I want to have it by the weekend for a trip, and I dont think anyones gonna be home at all at that time during the week.

You might be able to just leave a note on the door saying "Leave package here." or "Leave package next door." It might be good to have it left next door, because they will probably need a signature and if your neighbor is home, they can sign for it. Be sure to tell your neighbor, though.

what I do is when I miss a delivery (and I know I'll miss the next attempt too) is call UPS (the number will be on the yellow slip) and have them hold that shipment at the local depot so I can come and pick them up.

A lot of places ship expensive stuff as "adult signature required" and won't allow it to be just dropped at the door. Some drivers will also make that call depending upon the neighborhood.

Call 'em and have it held, tell them you have other inbound packages as well, give them the tracking number and have those held as well and then go pick them up.

As to breaking up an order - sometimes packages shipped on the same day, hit different trucks and that gets the separated - also the shipper may be waiting for a delivery and it comes in later than expected and misses tpday's truck....it happens.

Might consider using your office address as the shipping address..

My UPS guy will just leave the package by my door, doesn't even knock on the door. He even weighted down a light package on a windy day.

Same here. One time he left a package at the garage door (to the house) since the garage door was open. I don't remember hearing a knock. One time he stuck a small package in the mailbox when no one was home.

they left it at the door WHILE MY MOM WAS HOME...lol, a bit pricy of an order to leave sitting around...I got a HUGE scare though, opened up the laptop, the laptop itself was just like shrink wrapped onto cardboard inside a box. no battery, no AC adapter, i was flipping out...till i found a small compartment covering the bottom of the box with all the stuff i needed. you couldnt tell it was there, it just looked like it was the bottom of the box. Oh well, the laptop is great! UPS got it here quite fast too, ordered late monday night, credit card charged on tuesday, laptop here on wednesday! already got it up/running, removing all the stupid software sony put on, and the 2GB ram upgrade is in

Everytime I had stuff shipped from UPS, right off the bat they say it would be delayed 5, 6 days.. Only once in the last 6 or so yrs has a package arrived on time.. I only ship USPS and anytime I have had items being shipped from Fedex it was always on time..

this would be my suggestion. once they leave a sticky saying they missed you, call them up and change the delivery address.
