does a Portable CD Player (also known as Compact Disc Player) have an internal memory or cache of somekind?

I ask this because i noticed that when i kept the player open ( so that you can see the CD that is inserted in the player)The CD stopped spinning after a while i put it on but i still heard the music and i believe it's not possible for the player to keep playing the music that's in the CD after it has stopped spinning it unless the player has an internal memory or cache where it saves the track it's
currently playing...

If it is an anti-skip player, it probably does. I'm not entirely sure about this, but I believe the player will record a few seconds of whatever you are playing, and then when you hit a bump (in a car or whatever), the player will play from the memory, and then return to the actual CD.

is a "45 seconds ANTI-SHOCK SYSTEM" the same as "anit-skip" ( did you mean "anti-skip?) ?

okay but does this text : "45 seconds ANTI-SHOCK SYSTEM" or "60 SECOND ANTI-SHOCK PROTECTION" mean that it has somekind of memory...?

the first one is in my older Player and the second is in not so old but not so new either

Anti-skip, anti-shock, ESP...it's all basically the same.

Basically, if you shake it for the amount of time the anti-shock protection is rated for, it will then stop playing because it wouldn't have a chance to cache the audio off of the CD. Once you stop shaking it, it will resume.
