Talking Computer controlled cars are just cool...

I just bought a 2007 Mazda 3 I Touring. I absolutely love it. The I isn't the most fancy model but it has some nice features. One feature I would have liked is the trip computer which shows how many miles you have to empty, current MPG, average speed, etc. That feature is only *supposed* to be in the top of the line S Grand Touring model.

Well, it turns out that it is installed in all models and simply has to be unlocked. I found THIS post, tried the procedure, and it worked! I now have a trip computer! I wonder what else they have hidden in there!

Cool! Computers...always a double edged sword.

I found some weird codes on my Crossfire and my Neon for turning things on and off and resetting things. I guess most modern cars have these hidden codes that the manufacturers really do not want you to know about.

Just don't be one of these idiots that spends more time staring at the trip computer trying to drive with maximum milage in mind... I know a couple of clowns that way and go figure, they're accident prone.

Yup...if anyone is going to get mileage obsessed then it's time to buy a Prius.
