Happy Independence Day

Hope you all are having a grand time. Whether or not your on vacation to the beach, or the different islands or just sitting at home cooking hot dogs, burgers and having salad of some sort.. Me I'm cooking and going to the Fire Work display at 9:35 here in town..

I had to work today: the only car audio / video / security store open in the area - we had 3 customers and most likely lost money today because I didn't ring the work we did on my truck on today's date.

I had the chance to work it, but chose the day off instead. I was having a bit of a sleepy weekend.. still some long term effects from my concussion.

We just stayed home and did a fish fry for supper. Catfish, bass, french fries, and corn on the cob. Good stuff! Happy 4th to everybody!

I stayed home and watched The Patriot. First year since I was born I think that I didn't go see fireworks.

Heheh....sorry 'bout that, TR! Just thought I'd throw post what we had, because most people seem to grill burgers, hot dogs, BBQ, etc, on the 4th. I thought fish on the 4th was kinda different. Best part about it though was that the fish wasn't store bought. My brother bought a lease on a good pond not too far from here, and we've been fileting and freezing our catches for a month or two now. Can't wait to get enough built up so we can do another one.

Too bad my sister doesn't live out in Tulsa anymore, or I'd have to hint at an invite the next time I came out to see her

Yeah, it wouldn't be too awful far of a drive from Tulsa. Probably a good couple hours though. Oh, BTW, I don't know what that word "throw" is doing in my first sentence of my previous post. Brain fart, I guess.

Heck I can't remember the last time I saw fireworks.. I usually sleep (o what that is on new yrs eve0.. We stayed home this yr, the fireworks display was just up the street about 1/2 mile. The stunk why? because you couldn't even hear them LOL!!!. My oldest confirmed that for me, she said "dad the were terrible this yr".
