Using Windows Easy Transfer & Companion
I recently bought a new computer with windows vista home premium installed. It is an HP Pavillion a6010n with a 1.8 GHz intel Core 2 Duo Processor E4300, 1024MB of ram, & a 350GB HDD. My old computer is a Compaq Presario 5310us that runs on Windows XP,with a Intel Celeron 1.2 GHz processor, 515MB of ram, & dual 40GB HDD. I want to transfer programs & files from the XP computer to the Vista computer. I have Windows Easy tranfer & Easy Transfer Companion programs installed on both computer & have an Easy Transfer Cable. I'm wondering if anyone has used this process & how well it works.
