Weird jungle sound on my pc

I keep hearing this weird night time jungle noise randomly coming from my pc. It happens with no browser or windows programs running. It just comes on from know where. I have run spyware and virus scans and looked through sound files. What could it be?

Do you have one of the Windows themes turned on?

(right click on the desktop > Properties > themes tab)

If you're hearing jungle sounds, chances are that the jungle theme got enabled.

If not, is there a CD in your drive? Sometimes it autoplays and doesn't need a music player open to start playing.

Do you have a media player open?

the other thing is that you may have poorly grounded or shielded speakers

Is it coming from the speakers? Turn them off and see if it goes away...

First thing that came to mind is a motor of some sort is going and is making squeaky cricket noises or something. Like I said, turn off the speakers completely and see if that eliminates the problem.

smokin Jungle noise

I finally figured it out. I remembered a while back I was checking out Expressions you can use with AIM and you could set your messenger to make a certain sound on all your buddies computers when you went off and online. Someone on my buddy list used that sound. It was actually tittled woods (you can click link to hear the sound that had me worried someone hacked my PC). So problem solved.

Thanks for the suggestions, a few were pretty funny. Zoo virus, turn off my speakers, lol.
