I can see in certain environments, yes... where I work, it's no big deal, where my wife works, printing thousands of paystubs a day, yes... and the printing room STINKS.

I'm not one for scaremongering - and it seems we get one of these every week, but this one in particular has me wondering. Anyone who's spent any time at a photocopier knows the smell of laser printing, it can be asphyxiating at times, and I find it feels like you're inhaling *something* as opposed to it just being a smell.

Seems kinda vague though. They don't know what kinds of particles are being emitted, but they are positive that they are harmful. Oh, and the best part...don't tell anyone....*whispers* they might cause cancer.

I can understand that there is cause for concern, but they should really find out what the composition is before they start talking about cancer scares.

Where I work I don't worry about laser printers, of course I work for a paint manufacturer where I have to deal with potentially more lethal chemicals :D

Yeah, it seems fairly legit. Those toner particles can't be healthy to breathe in. I know I've accidentally knocked toner "dust" into the air while putting new toner in, it doesn't looks like something I want to breathe in. Although, I wouldn't think it would be a big deal unless you worked right next to one.
