Just brought MOm into Hospital for minor day surgery---sitting in hospital OPD lobby= Compaq mini PIII-500 with 19" NOKIA LCD monitor---first time ive been able to sit and play with an LCD monitor (and- brodband too!!)---
this monitor is AWESOME--so very sharp/contrasty--and---thin..and the broadbacnd sooo fasstttt!! makes me want to go right over to CompUSA and shell out the $600 or so for the monitor -)--and pay RCN the $39 monthly for broadband!! ED |

That sounds a lot cheaper than paying hospital bills....

Excuse me, did you say it right - only $600 for a 19" TFT ?????????????????
$600, THAT's ALL ?????? WHOA ! If I were you I wouldn't hesitate (I assume response time is low as well) and buy it. The viewing area of a 19" TFT compares to a 21" CRT, and for $600 here in germany I'd get only the cheap 17" TFT or the expensive 15" TFTs. Yeah, TFT's are great, much better pic than CRTs (at least in their fixed resolution). I'm very very happy with mine, too. Anyway, when I bought it in may 2000 I had to pay about $1100 (!). . . So are you really sure that the 19" TFT only costs $600 ? $1600 would sound more realistic to me, because for $600 I can buy a 21" CRT. . . RJ
