Question secure blog site? is there one that doesn't log your IP address?

If i start a blog on like blogspot or facebook or such, is that secure in that i'm totally anonymous? as in no one can could search my ip address and show up at my door to kill me?

reason I ask is I'd love to rip some hate groups apart, really dig in to them. i despise hate groups and would really love to just lay into them the only way i know how, to net bash them. but i'd love not to have a member of said hate group show up at my door with a sawed off shotgun.

of course i'd write about other topics, my travels, scuba diving in particular, things like that. but the growing threat of gangs in cities and suburbs is killing me and its not just gangs but other hate groups as well and I'd love to really rip them up in a blog environment, but its a bit dangerous to do so.

SO,

thats why i ask if there are secure blogging sites out there. does such a thing exist? i have not yet gotten into a blog site, but am reading a lot of others and want to do the same (as does everyone these days). so yeah, secure blogging exist?

If you're that concerned about somebody showing up at your door for voicing your opinions, especially something as volitile as hate groups, you're best off keeping your opinion to yourself. That is just the nature of the beast of websites, they track the IP addresses.

that is what i was afraid of.

i just get so unbelievably fired up over violence and hatred of that kind. its really something that effects me and i'd love an outlet to basically vent my rage over it.

i'm a tree-hugging peace and love hippie and to see that kind of hatred and violence spread among the youth just kills me inside. I'm getting fired up just writing this.

Oh well. I had hoped I could keep it anonymous to be able to voice my opinions on it without censoring my opinions for safeties sake. crud.

Ok, thanks Hal for the answer. I am definitely going to start a blog for my travels and such and my environmental thoughts and my religious beliefs. but i'll have to watch what i say about those who could come back to bite me in the butt... so to speak

thanks Hal, I'm glad I asked before I started said blog and started blowing up with rage against said people. I'll just have to find a way to make my voice heard in a way that will help kids stay away from such violent and hate-filled paths. I'd like to think my voice could help. maybe.

again, thank you!

So what is the difference between a group that hates others and someone that hates the haters? The only thing that hating them will do is to encourage others to either hate them or join them. My advice is to calm down, voice your beliefs, don't compromise your convictions but leave the ranting, railing and anger to them lest you become one of them yourself.

you make an excellent point and well stated at that. its is a bit two faced to hate the hater. i just can't help it. BUT, I will show restraint and try to voice my thoughts in a constructive way, rather than add fuel to the fire.

i appreciate your post. thank you. I had thought i'd be flamed relentlessly but instead i've recieved well spoken responses. thank you for that.

My wife tells me constantly i need to calm down when i hear of murders and such on the news and i get very fired up about it. i should take her advice. I just see the state of events in this country slipping further and further into a nation of pure violence and it hurts me to the core.

Oh well. I could go on for ever on this, thats why i need a stinkin' blog already i'm making one now. thanks for calming me down and setting me straight and for the advice, it is appreciated!

Instead of getting fired up…Kill em with kindness…that or sarcasm.

Or pretend they are My ex-wife and use their own words against em. Once they hear their own words, it’s hard from them to fire back.

You can always use one of those sites that provide anonymity by masking your ISP or some such when you log into your blog.

You would have a different, untraceable ISP addy each time you logged in.

If someone here doesn't know where to go, google it using the term anonymous.

I'm all for free expression of political and philosophical ideas, go for it!

a web proxy server would do it as far as i know, and use something like hushmail.com

if you donate some money to the electronic frontier foundation (a digital rights group not unlike the ACLU) you can get a free subscription to anonymous surfing.

as far as im concerned the internet in general is a place of free speech so go write just about whatever you feel like in the proper forum for it. people can categorize it, search for it, and choose to read or not, neat concept, that. of course, it doesnt always make logical sense to say something that you dont feel you could say in public, in person
