does anyone know where there to buy low cost parts in the greater toronto area, canada

When comparing prices in canadian $ for new items, I usually check online at http://www.pccanada.com/

another good shop in toronto (they also have mail order) is Canada Computers

Good one Charliey ... I compared the price for a Linksys BEFSR41 between pccanada [$164.99] and canadacomputers [$146].

Ive never mail ordered anything from Canada Computers, but my friend has, and it arrived alright, but i have been to their store twice (well, actually they have 4 stores), and they seem like a good company.
Just a note, they only have a 7 day return policy, unless somethings broken. Im not sure what other companies are, but this just seems kinda short to me. |

Thanks Charlie, I'll stop in and take a look in their downtown store when i go to work next week. I'll let you know what it's like, and your right the prices do look good.

Shame on these people at canadacomputers> On the left side of the page, it shows the price of $146* - *after $15 mail-in-rebate which makes it $161 ... still better than pccanada by 4-5 bucks though but really!

I have been to their college street store, and its like a computer store: tight and cramped. but its nice and clean, and seem quite good. i bought about half of the parts for a computer there, (the other half of the parts i got from Premier Computer Canada).

I notice that they now put "*after $30 mail-in-rebate" beside the price where it is easily seen. Thanks again for the link Charliey.
