Question Digital displays

Does anyone know of a digital display system, either LED matrix or LCD bars that is PC-controlled? I'm talking about the sort of thing that they have up in public buildings to display messages, whose turn it is next at the desk, etc....

Thanks,

Chris.

Yes, I know about TFTs. They're used in office alot, you can use it with a PC, they will replace the CRTs sooner or later and you also can buy it for your PC if you want.

So what now ?
Wanna get more information about them ? Wanna buy one ? Do you need suggestions, or recommendations ? Plan to replace your CRT with a TFT ?

Chris in U.K. is looking for one of those 'marquee' thingys, not a TFT monitor ... if I'm not mistaken. It's usually about 3 to 4 feet wide and 1/2 foot high.

Archie is right. Thanks for the link, Archie. RJ, could you do me a big favour and see if you can find me a link to a company called Kubler (with umlaut) who I've been told do things like this?

Many thanks,

Chris.

Thanks again, Archie. Both your links look very promising. Is this something you are involved in professionally, or are you just being extra-helpful?

Nah Chris, I just like to help my old PCMech buddy from the UK. Here's another link that has a lot of electrical suppliers that may be closer to home ... http://www.oem.co.uk/Electrical_Divi...-suppliers.htm HTH

Hi,

I searched for Kübler, but couldn't find these LED matrix displays on their site.

Anyway there were a few Küblers but this one has to do with displays, etc., so I think this can help you:
