It seems that Appalachian did all they could to give the game back to Michigan. Why do you kick a field goal with 30 seconds left when you are on Michigan's 5 with a bad angle and a first down?

One of the biggest upsets in College Football history.

Personally, I love it. My three favorite teams - in order - are Michigan State, and the teams playing Michigan and ND.

It just goes to show you that you can't take any team too lightly and Michigan definitely did. It's the coach Carr's fault for not preparing the team to play and you have to give Appalachian State credit for playing a good game. I feel sorry for Hart who stay an extra year so he could have a chance at a National Championship and just to have it ruin on the very first game. This is going to be Carr's last year coaching the Wolverine - whether he wants it or not. One word pathetic!!! However, I would like to see U of M beat MSU, for it would shut up Spartan fans thinking they could ever be good at College Football.

Well when Michigan figures out how to beat the buckeyes, you come talk to me about playing good football.

To give App State some credit, they are the defending Div-IAA national champs two years running and I'm sure have been gearing themselves up all year to play a top 5 team. Statistically U/Phlegm outplayed App State - but giving up three unanswered TDs in the 2nd Q is unforgivable. U/Phlegm deserved this loss - and it certainly showed the rest of us where their problems lay - on the D side of the ball.
