Wow...
I'm not a gamer but have been hearing about a game called "Crysis" lately and was wondering what all the hub-bub about it was...then I saw this...wow...
The real picture looks like it was taken here in the islands. Cricket

Sure its pretty, but is it worth the thousands you need to spend for a rig that can render that in its fully glory?

Aren't hardcore gamers willing to spend that kind of money to get those kind of visuals?
I know I wouldn't build a computer that costs as much as a good used car, but I'm sure there are many gamers out there who would . Cricket

Wow, that is impressive. I haven't gamed in years, but looking at those screenshots I'm almost tempted to build a new gamer system.

My PC runs the demo at reasonable frame-rates on high settings. It is definetely the most visually stunning game produced thus far. It is simply amazing. What you don't see in the screen shots is the physics engine. If you throw a grenade into one of those shacks it can collapse with real-time physics. Here are a couple videos that show the physics in action:
Crysis Demo Destruction Destroying Crysis I am counting the days until the full game is released. When the next generation Nvidia cards are released I may have to upgrade so I can run the game on very high settings.

I played the demo and was pretty amazed...even at low settings
At high settings it was a purdy slideshow.

That would be perfect for those times where you just don't care, but yet don't want to suffer the consequences of your actions.
Or even better...who has the cheat codes???? |
