Rude Players

Hey there,

Any encounters with rude players when in online gaming?

Yesterday, in a typical Team Fortress 2 session in my place, a player flamed me seriously for not winning the battle. Never mind if he yelled "newbies", but he let off a stream of obscenities. Ugh...

Isn't it supposed to be friendly and fun match? Why all the unhealthy obsession of coming down on other people?

How do you deal with rude players?

Either ignore them or go to a different server. Simple as that.

There were probably valid reasons for calling the team members "newbies", which isn't a bad insult as insults go. It just means that there are new players who don't really know how to play the game, which does get frustrating for people who do know what they're doing.

It's like trying to teach someone to use a computer who's never used one before, and has no concept of how to use a mouse...it can get frustrating.

But in any case, ignore them, or leave the server and go elsewhere.

Tried playing World Of Warcraft lately? You will find every personality under the sun there but like with everything else, over the internet anyone can be a keyboard warrior... look into the settings, often people can be blocked from contacting you, or you can turn the language filter on... more often than not you will never see/speak to them again anyway.

If it is continual harassment and you cant move away, try taking a screenshot if the game permits and report them.

The best way to deal with trash talk is to remain silent and absolutely destroy your opponent.

Nothing sends a message quicker then a headshot.

no better truth can be spoken. When they start talking trash bring your A game and annihilate the opponent.

And if you're truely upset, just do that repeatedly.
