PCMech LIVE @ Join Us to Talk Tech at 8 PM EST (3/06/2008)

First Show - Tonight (Thursday) at 8 PM EST. We will probably be live for an hour or two. Come join us. Now read more about what we're doing long term...

www.pcmech.com/live/

What is PCMech LIVE?

PCMech LIVE is a live show put on by PCMech over the Internet. It will be live 24/7 and you can not only view the live video stream but chat with other viewers and us online. This service is powered by Ustream.TV.

We will answer your tech questions or simply just discuss various issues in technology. From time to time, we will take live calls over Skype at the username "pcmechlive". If you do not yet have the Skype client, just go to www.skype.com and download it for free.

When is the show?

Our goal (barring weird schedules or computer problems) is to keep the stream online 24/7. However, we have to work and run PCMech so we're certainly NOT going to be able to take your questions 24/7. Sometimes a brother just has to buckle down and work!

The official show time will be announced each week to our mailing list (which you are already on). We may open the show talking about something interesting, but the subject of the chat is likely to vary widely depending on audience input.

Outside of the official show times, you will likely catch myself and Rich chatting randomly, discussing PCMech business, and, of course, just working. I can't promise we will always respond to chatters, but we'll do what we can.

Live Chat

Even when nothing is going on, the live chat will be up all the time at PCMech LIVE. By default, all users will get a randomly assigned "ustreamer" username. To get a real username, you will need to sign up for a free account at Ustream.TV.

Hope You Enjoy!

This is something completely different for PCMech and I hope you enjoy it. It is live and pretty personal. It is always a little odd having my office (once a private space) now viewable by the whole PCMech audience. But, come on by and let's talk some tech. Keep in mind that this isn't really a tech support resource. This is a conversation among geeks and people who like computers. All experience levels are welcome! My goal is that you will learn something and hopefully get a little entertainment - hopefully not at our expense!

Are you going o the ustream.tv site and trying to watch?

What browser are you using?

Are you security setting set to default?

Do you have any add-ons?
