How to delete a free AOL account
My Friend wants to delete his AIL email account.
He got it through time warner roadrunner. The problem is aol does not have tech support for free accounts and time warner does not have access. Yes I went to aol.com. Yes I went to cancel.aol.com Yes I spent hours folling the exact instructions to delele the account but only got (radio buttons options) to upgrade to a paying account. I am ready to post the account name ane password so someone cat hujacj the account and they will cancel it that way. Anyone know how - please dont send a link unless you have actually deleted a PRIMARY account |

Why not just ignore it and let the mailbox fill up with spam? When the box is full, mail will bounce just like as if the account were cancelled.

I agree with GLC. Just ignore it. With yahoo, if the account remains inactive for four months it will be deactivated.

The solution was to threaten that I would abuse the account. They reacted that by law they need to keep it for 3 months so they scheduled to delete it and set the account to kick back any new email with a message "This account can not accept email at this time"
