ok......I was running IE 5.5 and have up'd to IE 6 and I still have constant problems of IE crashing. At least 7 or 8 times a night. I can be not even doing anything on a page, just have it open and POOF. Below is one of the error messages that I get:
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2600.0 ModName: mshtml.dll ModVer: 6.0.2600.0 Offset: 0013bcff I've got XP ordered, will this help any? This is starting to get old in a hurry. |

Hi reet,
Are you gaming on-line when this happens? Sometimes it's not your system but the webpage that causes the crashes in IE. Do you have any other programs running when this is happening? How many programs are running in background when you first boot up. There could be something that is interferring with IE. When IE crashes, does it take Windows with it? Which OS are you using? When you aren't on-line, does your system run other programs okay? Cricket

Hi reet,
I found this on-line: "MSHTML.DLL is the parsing engine for HTML in Internet Explorer. In general, GPF exception errors are caused by video card driver problems with the color modes that have more then 256 colors. One solution is to get an updated driver from the company that made your video card. Another solution is to change the color mode so that it uses only 256 colors." Try updating your video card drivers and DirectX...worth a shot. Cricket
