How long does it take to receive a RMA product?

Hey,

I RMAed my dead hard drive to NCIX and i got my tracking number and the delivery date is July 16. They received my RMA hdd on July 8th. The rep who helped me told me they'll ship it out in 1 or 2 days. Now I have to wait over a week.

I'm slightly disappointed. When I express ship something to them, I at least expect the same. At least they should honor what they told me. I'm calling in to complain tomorrow. This is ridiculous, I need my hard drive!!

Has your RMA product taking this long before?

They will only ship out by their regular shipping methods... a vendor doesn't care if you used any express method and won't express it unless you absorb that cost. If they received it on the 8th, they will take a couple days to process and ship the new one which probably shipped either yesterday or will today... and you should have it by mid/late next week.

It is not NCIX's fault the drive is bad, the exchange is simply a courtesy. Even manufacturers won't express a RMA replacement without a fee.
