Expedia.com...great prices...horrible customer support
So I have a flight that I got through expedia.com. There is something on my itenerary that doens't make sense that I have a question about.
So I go to the expedia support site and it sends me to this form: https://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dl...=1216302682350 So I fill everything out, describe the issue, and send it. Then I recieve an automated reply saying: "Dear Expedia customer, Thank you for contacting us. We can't reply directly to messages sent to this address, but we've provided links below to help you get the assistance you need. CONTACT US Use our Feedback Form to get in touch with us. https://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=fbak&&zz=1216302682350" If you didn't notice, the feedback form they sent me to contact them is the same link I used to send the original message. I tried using the link they gave me in the email, filledo ut all the info again and sent it and got the same automated reply back again. It seems I am in the middle of an infinite customer service loop. |

Call them.. I've used Expedia.ca several times and once had an issue and resolved it over the phone in about 15 minutes.

That's a great way to not have to deal with people.

I've had EXCELLENT customer support with Expedia! While travelling to Vienna, we checked into a hotel late at night (that was cos of our train arrival time) .. the hotel decided to sell off our room, claimed they were full. But they offered us a room at a nearby place. (It was a pricier place and they even paid for the cab there etc etc and were extremely apologetic).
Come back to Canada a week or so later and called Expedia and asked them what they meant by charging the card and guaranteeing the room on their reservations etc. 20 minutes later they refunded 50% of the hotel costs. Their prices though are not competitive. I've had better luck with kayak.com and haven't used Expedia in a while. And worse than their prices is their website interface and their search engine .. like Microsoft "dead search" .. it's KLUNKY and will require a lot of clicks and weeding thru garbage to get what I need. |
