Hello
sarge bet me I wouldn't make a post on pc mechanic, especially using a name that GLC gave me. I don't like the name but took it on his dare. He should know better by now. I tried to write this before he got home but my Netscape won't work here and I have to use his explorer, which I don't care for. He is out putting a new cable on his bug and grumbling about DSL making him late getting home.
I feel I know a lot of you guys. When sarge went on his trip by himself he would call at night and have me come here and read him some of the messages. He could go weeks without me but not pc mechanic. Everyone calls him sarge, even me. I call him by his real name when I am mad, but that is very seldom. The last time was when he downloaded a new Netscape late one night on my computer without letting me know. I lost my addresses and saved mail and he promised not to do it again. Yeah right. He has a file drawer full of things he printed from here. He said he needs one of my drawers that he says is full of junk, so I have my orders. I never dreamed there was so much stuff about computers. A few weeks ago I ask him for a new computer and he grunted and said maybe for Christmas. I noticed he was looking at a lot of places on the web to get computer parts and leaving all kinds of paper and notes laying around. So I started pestering him about this and that and asking questions and he grunted again. He does that a lot. So I started doing my own looking and learned. Why are there so many choices? At breakfast he calls me Ms. Mobo and at dinner we used to talk about each others day, but now all I talk about is motherboards. I think he is getting aggravated. Anyways, we never discussed what the bet was, but since I won it will be dinner out for 3 nights. He thinks I am in here typing something to a friend and he will find out he lost. He will probably grunt and give me that look. I do not like Dragon Lady as a name and like DL better but at least I won the bet. |

Hi Mrs. Sarge, AKA Dragaon Lady,
You've gotta take "Dragon" in its proper context; around here it means "high tech" and "leading edge".

I agree with Ron, taken in an inappropriate context, it's not very flattering, but around here, it takes on a whole new meaning.
Welcome aboard, even if it was on a dare

Welcome, DL!
You can tell the Sarge that I wanted to be a Marine too, but they wouldn't take me - my head wouldn't fit in a jar! |

Quick, someone hide all those wifey jokes that Sarge has been telling.
Oh, never mind Mrs. Sarge has probably heard each one a couple of hundred times. Welcome, Dragon Lady.

A man can't even hang out with the fellers by himself. True, I lost the bet but the stakes were never discussed. Guess I can settle for dinner out versus fixing my own
which would probably result if'n I don't give in.Thanks for welcoming the Dragon, er, wifey. I am not responsible for debts incurred other than my own.

Hey SARGE, nothing is sacred anymore ... Thanks for the warning BTW.
I pledge not to ever call you the Mrs Dragon Lady again ... it just doesn't seem right somehow. It is nice to see a lovin' couple such as the SARGE and Dragon Lady here ... and if not mistaken, a first at PCMech. |
