downloading mp3
Wow, I'm just full of posts lately
suppose Hypothetically that I downloaded, oh I don't know, lets use the Harry Potter audio books for an example from Aimster, Napster and others , and wanted to burn them to a CD. They show that they are MP3 format. But then when I try to create a CD, I get the message: Only WAV and MP3 stereo files (NOT streamed) with a sampling frequency of 44.1kHz and 16 bits per sample can be added They can be burned as a DATA (MP3, WMA, WAV) CD format Is that correct, or have I done something wrong on downloading? |

Basically, MP3 is a wide open field that has many parts. All files created are called MP3. It's almost like all software being called Computer Programs and wondering why it doesn't play on my computer.
You may not be doing anything wrong. It may be the downloading process and/or burning software may have Digitial Rights Management encoding on it. You may have to find software that will convert what you downloaded to a burnable format. In the extreme, you can use an audio cassette recorder to record from the sound card. Then rip the audio cassette back to the hard drive. Then burn the CD. Or, you can buy the material from the publisher! |

figured out my problem...sort of. I was trying to create the CD using MusicMatch Jukebox. But when I tried using the CD Creator 4, it worked fine. So I guess it is just something with MusicMatch.
