Lost Display setting?
Hi all,
I've got a strange one. Booted my P.C. today and my background of clouds came up gray and white like its in safe mode. Went to check properties and display setting is at 16 bit. There used to be a setting for 24bit but its not in the menu any more!? Rebooted 3 times and no change. How can I loose my 24bit display setting? Any help would be appreciated. I can't stand this 16 bits. Looks like an Atari!! Lovesranch Etower 366id 96MB SDRAM 4GB HD Samsung 604f CD-DVD ROM TDK 16x10x40 CDRW AWE64 SoundBlaster RageProTurbo |

You need to update the driver for the video. You must have deleted one of the files it needs. Go to control panel click on system click on video adapters double click on your video card click on update driver and point it to the cdrom for your video card. shut down the restart machine. If you do not have a driver for it go to the manufactures web site and download the latest driver for your video card then just update the driver. point it to the folder that you down loaded it to.

Thanks highrisemech,
I'll do that although I don't know how I could have deleted a file for my display driver. Maybe it was shared with something I deletd. Thanks for your time. I'll post results. Lovesranch |
