You're right, it does look like the nVidia logo. They're planning their take over, first video cards, then motherboards, now... the world!

Talking

I guess it makes perfect sense that they would start in Canada, the home of ATI, lol.

Somebody sent up us the bomb.

We get signal.

What!

Main screen turn on!

We opted for the Raydeon.... signal is blurry and slow...

(Super Nvidia Man shows on screen)

It's you!!

"How are you gentlemen?"

All your ATI Base belong to us. We will scrap them later.

Oh no but what is this....the ATI Radeon 8500 DV mothership has arrived!

"Super Nvidia Man, your reign of the videocard galaxies is now over".....

Shortly after, a beam of bright light...*a moment of silence*...everything has disappeared. All that remains is a mushy goo of what was once Super Nvidia Man.

No, the secret weapon for ATI would be high quality working drivers. This is ATI's biggest problem, and it has always been. Once they get them sorted out, their cards will be able to really compete with nVidia's cards.

Yeah, I have to agree. I think ati cards are great but I'm still fighting with an ati rage fury pro card on Asus cuvx board. Maybe its the via 4in1 but the multimedia center just won't play dvds. Can't count the # of times I've reinstalled drivers, tried different versions of the media center and such - all unsuccessful.

Does ATI still have those driver problems ?
I remember those problems some time back. When I bought my first ATI card in feb. 1998 it installed well, but when I wanted to update it or even exchange the card (Xpert 2000 in early 2000) it was really a pain. But once I got it working I liked them.
With the Xpert 2000 I had the problem that drivers since a specific date didn't work. After installation the screen turned black at windows startup and froze. After several tries I found out which one was the newest driver that worked.
And then the install of WinME. Of course the first start was a freeze - WinME included one of these drivers that didn't like my card. . .
nVidia drivers install and deinstall without a glitch. I have never exchanged a graphics card or updated the driver so easily. . .but the real reason for buying the GeForce was pure performance. The Radeon was fairly new and I didn't hear good about it.
3 years ATI graphics, then nVidia. Hmm, maybe I'm gonna switch back to ATI again when my GeForce needs a replacement. . .
