If thieves were smart, they wouldn't have to steal to make a living. They could hold down a real job.

Shipping and packing with FedEx International Economy $39.74 and the PSU is available with free shipping in the US...........ho hum...nothing changes....

and by the way, I have always had to add to the cart to see the shipping costs.

my memory ordered on the 10th shipped according to newegg on 11th from memphis via DHL finally got here on the 20th,, it came to the post office, if someone at memphis had dropped it in the mail box instead of using dhl it would have been a max of 4 days, shux pony express could have beat dhl here.

That has to be the slowest means of shipment in existence - DHL with a dropoff to the USPS. I ordered memory from Newegg that came that way and I tracked it. DHL from Memphis to Kansas City, then to the USPS. It took 3 days to get to KC, then 4 more to get to my mailbox.

cutting it close

That DHL to USPS thing does take a while, I nearly forgot about my flash drive when I ordered it...

After i put in my order for the new seagate drive I realized that I'm leaving pittsburgh on tuesday afternoon to head back to philadelphia. Thankfully the free shipping is UPS 3 day, and according to UPS it's actually gonna make it here in two days on monday. Just got to make sure Im home to sign for it when it comes, may have to skip a class

I actually ordered again from newegg today - another seagate terrabyte drive, it seems to take them a while to post up the tracking # on these, says it shipped but still nothing...

George, your experience with DHL was nothing - Jess ordered me a pair of sunglasses and it took over 2 MONTHS to arrive from San Diego.

I am among those unhappy with the change, although I understand why they did it. Basically, the way UPS does shipping costs, it varies by zones. With the flat rate shipping Newegg had, they were getting screwed. I went yesterday to ship a hard drive to MN - $12 for ground. $22.38 for ground and $500 insurance. That's crazy.

However, I also ordered parts for a customer build last night - and the shipping thing really drove me nuts. Two different Acer 22" monitors had different shipping prices (one was free, the other was over $10.) I added the wrong ones (2) to the cart (not noticing that they hadn't shown shipping), and my shipping cost went from $20 to $40.

So this is interesting. I ordered Two Seagate ST1000's, on separate days. Had the first one shipped to me here in pittsburgh, then realized I needed another but since Im going home next week I had one shipped home to philly a day and a half later. They shipped the first one from Memphis, second one from the Jerz (NJ). Now the one i ordered a day late is sitting in west chester - it's basically at my house already - they're both gonna arrive monday. very strange.

Oh well. I listed my 3 320GB drives for sale and sold two for $35 each in cash. If i sell the 3rd for the same price, thats $105 in my pocket, hence the reason for buying another 1tb drive. 3 low capacity drives for one high capacity drive is a fair trade IMO.

got my HD in 3 days , came from calif. and shipped ups, so it looks like that coming from other places and by DHL is the problem.
