ASAP - need cheap DVD player
Gal bud bought a lake house on the water and all I see is catfish (Lake Tawakoni known for that). It already has a dish on top so getting a receiver naturally entails meeting some tech there, etc. If we had satellite here would just be a matter of taking the receiver down there and hooking up for the week-end, as that's what previous owners did. Too bad - we have Uverse at the homestead. Besides all that, we have several old smaller TVs laying around and am wondering if I could buy a simple DVD player and take a tv and it to the lake just to watch movies. I know we don't have to have cable or satellite for that. I don't want to unhatch our DVD players from the house and haul back and forth; just want something to leave down there. Do they make a simple DVD player that doesn't cost a bundle and where could I buy? Would I then have to set the TV to a channel like 2 or 3? All the smaller TVs are equipped for a coax connection. We just want something simple to watch at night, after all the fish have been caught. I need to know, like asap maybe.

Here's a list from Best buy from the cheap to the not-so-cheap. If the tv's only have coax connectors you will need an rf adapter.

Here is another link from Wally World (Walmart) Sarge
http://www.walmart.com/search/search..._value=311_All $24 is cheap enough to not loose too much sleep over if some punks break in and steal it.

Thanks for tips. I don't know what an RF adapter is but maybe store will. Seems I should know but mind isn't what it once was. Used to fix any kind of telco problem and even built many computers and could tune-up a car. Do good now just planting some flowers and taking care of them. Thanks and will check Wal Mart.

The cheap players (and of the ones at Wallyworld, I recommend Magnavox) should have a coaxial screw-on connector - just use a standard TV cable between that and the TV antenna input. It should be set for channel 3.
