Exclamation What a week!!!!!!

Man, what a week I've had. You wouldn't believe it:
  • 11/14---2 year old starts running fever for no apparent reason.
  • 11/15---2 year old still has fever, is also VERY grouchy.
  • 11/16--2 year old's fever is gone during the day, now 4 year old has one. Later than night, husband has chest pains, I make him got to ER to get checked out. They decide to keep him overnight for observation.
  • 11/17---Husband still in hospital, still being monmitored. Now they want to do a "stress test" on him Monday. No getting out and coming back either. Take 2 year old and 4 year old to doctor, have "viral throat infection" (so no antibiotics) plus 2 year old has a mouth full of sores that are obviously painful, no medicine for those either. "They'll go away in a few days."
  • 11/18---Nothing much during the day ecxept me stuck at home by myself with 2 very grouchy kids. That night, it's my turn and I have a 103 fever.
  • 11/19---Stress test for hubby. Dr. says maybe you can go home later, we'll come by and tell you the results. Nobody does. On top of that, I leave hospital to get lunch, and my car dies in Taco Bell drive thru, have to call someone, car still dead, won't restart.
  • 11/20---Dr. finally tells hubby "found something irregular on stress pics. want to do heart cath in the morning". Friends have my car towed to my house, except guy puts car in church parking lot instead of at my house. No big deal, hubby is pastor of church, so it's ok there.
  • 11/21---Good news, nothing wrong with hubby's heart. He is ready to come home at 7:30 PM, but that's "shift change" at hospital, so he sits, waiting to come home, until 9:00. Today is also his birthday. Finally we get home from hospital. Notice some cars still in church parking lot, weird since church ended at 7:30 and it's 9:30 when we get home. Hmmm, that's a Sheriff's car. Go to see what's going on. One of the members comes over and says "guess what I did?"---you guessed it, she backed into my car. Got it good too, just on the junction between the back driver's side door and the back quarterpanel. New door and frame work at the least.

When she told me that, I died laughing. At that point, what else could I do? But, hubby is home, his heart is fine, and me and the kids are too. Lady that hit my car is a dear friend, she feels terrible, but she has good insurance, so in the end, I'm sure all will be just fine.

Jenni,

I'm glad everything worked out ok. Read the book of Job again, maybe that will inspire you. And as Linus said to Charlie Brown, "Be of good cheer."

Happy Holidays

I'm sure if you look at the footsteps behind you... there'll only be one pair. Likely because "He" wasn't walking with you, but carrying you instead. Glad everything has settled down for you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and count your blessings! (Sounds like you may have already!)

Yes, I have kept the faith and I'm sure that there was only one set of footprints behind me at this point. Even though I might not see it now, I firmly believe that "All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

We drove to his family's yesterday and spent Thanksgiving with them. It was great. The kids felt fine, and had fun all day long. Last night we played some games with everyone, specifically Blurt (it's kinda like Outburst, except there is only one right answer) and then we taught them how to play Beyond Balderdash. We didn't get home until 2:30 this morning, lol.

Are Prayers answered? I have no doubts! I'll tell you about my week.
11/17 wife has seizure, ER doctor orders a CT scan, finds spot in brain.
11/19 MRI confirms tumor.
11/21 Morning Surgery, tumor and two lower lobes of brain removed.
11/21 Afternoon First Prayer answered, Wife wakes up and talks to me.
11/23 Morning, Second prayer answered, Wife gets out of bed and walks, has hospital put phone in ICU so she can call friends.
11/23 Afternoon, Doctor calls us in for conference, tumor is benign, Great Joy. Third Prayer answered with blessings.
11/23 Evening, wife is moved out of ICU to a regular room.
11/24 two children ages 3 & 8 get to see their mother for the first time in a week. Doctor tells us she can come home Sunday.
I wont be at church this sunday, I believe he will understand.
I will be on my knees giving thanks for what I feel is no less than a miracle.
I am glad your family is doing better. There is no terror like the fear of loosing a loved one.
May God bless you as he has my family.

Marty
