Nero 5.5.5.1 CD-Copy Has No Sound

Sir/Madam,

Nero Burning ROM Version 5.5.5.1 Bundled

I made a "CD Copy" recording of an Audio CD. The DMA Options of both the CD-ROM and the CD R/RW are switched off. Didn't go for "On the fly" but through "Image Copy." Burn speed was set at 4x[600KB/s]. Read speed was at 7x[1,050KB/s]. Went through the usual process of "Simulation and Write." In the end, the final comment was "Burn process completed successfully at 4x (600 KB/s). So, I clicked the "OK" button and closed the program. The drive of the recorder automatically ejected my new disc. I checked the properties, and it displayed the audio tracks. But when I played it... there was no sound, not even a little. So, I took it to my home CD system, and still the same.. no sound. Though there is a display of the time elapsed per track and so on, and so forth. Only, you can't hear anything.

I thought my blank disc was defective, so I re-recorded another. But still obtained the same results. I bought both CDs to my friend and see if he can diagnose my problem, but still... it won't sound any.

What could be the problem? If I play the original CD [source disc]in Nero, I can hear it.. loud and clear. Even if I use the save track option to convert CD tracks to WAV or MP3s, no problem. I get good results. Or even if I do make an Audio CD compilation from WAV files, the results are good.
