Does anybody know how can I convert the dvd movie files to mpeg so I can play with windows media player?Is there any software?

All I heard that on DVD disc there are files(parts of movie) that you can play with Win media player.

Don't know if MediaPlayer has DVD funtionality, but converting a DVD to a MPEG stream is rather time consuming. Just download PowerDVD or any of the other players and use that to watch the DVD.

Rather time consuming, as in 10-12 hours per 1:30 long movie

thanks for every bodys suggestion, but the whole point is if anyway possible( maybe software)to reduce the size of DVD files ( each one about one GIG )so this way I can fit on the 700MB CDR, ( instead of pay 20...something to buy dvd movie ), you know just for fun!!

Yes, possible, but incredibly time consuming as metioned above. Multiply the length of the movie times 6 and that's how long it'll take on average.
