Cool Where's Ginger?

I thought Ginger was supposed to be unveiled today on Good Morning America. I haven't heard anything about it, so I'm assuming that nothing happened. Anyone know if it was postponed, or what? Thanks.

Nate

Sorry, I should have read "IT is back in the news" It's kind of cool, but I'm one of the few Americans who would rather walk to the grocery store or Starbucks Not worth my 3g's

For those who havn't read, IT has already been announced in Time. It's basically a scooter that balances and drives itself. I doubt it will "change the world" as he claims. Just another invention that makes people lazier and unhealthier. The only real application I see for IT is for the disabled.

"The possibility that the segway will be viewed as simply a high-end toy, a jet ski on wheels, is one of Kamen's greatest concerns . . . He wants his machine taken seriously, as a serious solution to serious problems."

Come on, it is a scooter for God's sake. Yes, it is impressive technology, but it is not a panacea. I think there are better uses for such research than creating a glorified scooter. I, too, doubt it will have the wide-spread acceptance that he claims it will. And I sincerely doubt that people will ditch their Chevy for a scooter. A very good scientist and inventor no doubt, but I think he lost touch with reality a long time ago.

Respectfully,

Demosthenes

Oh boy, I can't wait. I can ride it to the recycling center, then stop and hug a tree on the way home.
