Absolutely fascinating article. A long read, but anyone with a modicum of experience in programming will be impressed. To those who have read it, his story is not unlike a story line taken from C.S. Friedman's This Alien Shore. In fact, had it not been published first, I am certain that Ms. Friedman would have wanted this article as a source. I would kill to be able to hack (code) like that.
