Cool Sad, but true...

When I bought my new TV, it had Coax, Component, and s-video. However, I still haven't upgraded from my Atari. Sadly, I now can't use it, because I have no UHF/VHF input. I guess its time to lay my pal to rest... It has served me well. No PS2 or x-box could stand the test of time my faithful Atari has.

Isn't 'UHF/VHF input' coax ... what's missing?

I always connected the adapter to the UHF/VHF screws on the back. There were usually four screw. Maybe there is a way to connect it to the coax that I don't know about. The only other problem is that I need to lug the monster back to best buy, because the coax input busted off in the doorway when I moved it from the den to the living room last week. This is one case where I'm glad I've got the extended warranty!

UHF/VHF is 300 ohm, coax is 75 ohm. An adapter to convert the two different impedances is available. Dunno, we may need an Audio/Video Guru to deal with this.

Talking

All you need is one of those L-shaped converters. It is push-on coax on one side, and has 2 screws on the other side. You screw the game/tv switch to the screws, and you're all set! Probably costs less than $5 at Wal-Mart too! BTW, I still play my Atari with my kids.

Sorry about the delayed response -- was hanging out with my wife all day!!

Jenni's right -- all you need is a matching transformer -- takes the 300ohms down to 75ohms with mo problems. Saw one at BestBuy this afternoon for $2.99.

Thanks for the help. I will be up and running once I get the input fixed on the TV.
