I have a bud who may help. He can take a picture he sees of landscape, etc., and somehow find out where it is along with the history behind it. I sent him this pic and see what he can do.

Maybe it'd help if Quartet told us where he got it.

This is driving me nuts... I think this is part of my, what I like to call, "black hole" material from when I hit my head... I know that I know exactly what it is... but the actual information in my head is totally gone.

It isn't mine, nor have I seen anything but the pic. It was found by a friend of mine who is in IT at a mission here in the states. No one there knows what it is. I am unsure if it is from the IT part, or other parts where they help people.

EDT- He said it was left in their medical director's office.

In my local newspaper, they used to have a yearly article with 30 or so objects that you had to guess on what they were. The first three people to guess all 30 correctly won prizes.

When you think about it, good gosh, of all the things in the world...It could be something a machinist/welder made one Sunday afternoon in the garage in between 6-packs.

Are you sure you guys REALLY want to know what it is?

Some of you guys have seen one before, but you were just too young to remember.

Figured it out yet?

It's a medical device.

Got it now?

It is only for males.

Now do you know?

It is usually just for infants.

I bet some of you know now.

HAL, just by good luck came the closest when he said, 'This is driving me nuts".

Prepare to be grossed out, I warned you....

Yikes. I figured with all the knowledgeable people here that someone would know. Thanks everyone for the effort and help. I will pass it on. He might be sorry he has been handling it.

BTW, he said thanks. He also said it had bugged them for a while and he wonders why they had it on the decoration shelf like they did. LOL. I told him that maybe it was a warning for them to behave.

How did you find it? That's a big tool just to cut a chunk of tiny flesh. Btw, they didn't use that in my day.

Good find David! How the heck did you find out what it was? I'm guessing that you googled images by searching on... clamp

I'm tempted to post it to my Facebook page and ask all my friends what it is.
