Oh goodie....

Final Exam #2 of 6 at 9AM tomorrow morning and I just spit out a filling. Fortunately, no pain, so I can wait until I get home.

Don't worry Dave, give it time, and it will tell you when you need to see a dentist, like in a few hrs LOl.. I have had that happen more than once, and within a day,I was crying because the pain was so bad. Especially when anything hot or air gets in it..

Stop at the drugstore and get one of those kits for putting your own temporary filling in - it's basically wax and a stick to tamp it in with.

That sounds like Texan or Louisiana. A glob of vaseline will do just nicely, but gotta get to dentist pronto.

He must take the final exam unless his face looks like a melon.
Like the rest of us the nightmares reliving the finals are par for the course.
I have heard they go away with time…

So far, so good... still no pain.. it;s surprizing considering the size of the filling. It's big enough that when my dentist filled it he said we may need to consider crowning it.

Not worried about it being an omen... not worried about this exam. While this instructor has brutally long exams (I never finish), they're always open book, usually the questions are directly copied from either examples or assignment questions, but he'll change one parameter... so you essentially just follow the assignment or book example, subbing in the new parameter.

As an after thought, the one I used before included a topical anesthetic.

Put the filling under your pillow, maybe the tooth fairy can help you with your grade.

Turned out that it wasn't filling.. that was tooth... the filling was still solidly intact. Will be looking at a crown soon.

That sucks Hal...

I am waiting until things calm down for me and I need a trip to the dentist myself..

I have an Impacted wisdom tooth that pushed the molar in front of it into the one and front of that and broke it... so now the Molar in front of the Wisdom tooth is being pushed up and forward and now hollow broken... It's actually hollow enough that its slightly over the Molar in front of it.

Going to be a little nervous getting it done as my right side lower did the same thing and it wouldnt numb at all and I let them pull it anyhow... boy that will test your courage...

I know I am fighting time and thats something I shouldnt let slide as beings I have had prior complications that leads to health issues....

I keep my teeth clean, have had very few cavities why? Because I stay away from the dentist as much as possible.. Remember that old saying " If it ain't broke, don't fix it" Well that goes for teeth and dentist as well.. When mine go, there is no root canal, crown or anything like that. Simply pull it, and be done with it, is my old saying..
