Is your son a computer hacker?
The article talks about things you should look for to see if your son is a hacker.
I don't know if this article is supposed to be serious or a joke but I couldn't stop laughing. My favorite one is: "8. Is your son obsessed with "Lunix"? BSD, Lunix, Debian and Mandrake are all versions of an illegal hacker operation system, invented by a Soviet computer hacker named Linyos Torovoltos, before the Russians lost the Cold War. It is based on a program called "xenix", which was written by Microsoft for the US government." http://home.dal.net/shrub/Adequacy_o...r%20Hacker.htm |

It's gotta be a joke, nobody is THAT ignorant. Funny stuff, though.

You never know if stuff on Adequacy.org is real or not. I've been reading it for some time and the people behind posts like that seem genuine and will defend their point of view to the end.
But I do find most of the stuff there funny as all hell. But Sarge might add it to his conspiracy theory bookmarks folder. ![]() -Craig |

My son is 5 months old. I am not sure but I think while everyone in the house is sleeping, he crawls out of the crib and does some hacking. He has a penguin and has even been spotted wearing a Linux shirt.

The guy can't be serious. As for a lot of those replies, they're put-ons, right?
I'm assuming the site is a giant charade. |

That AMD one was the abesolut most pathetic, and I hated it the most. AMD is a good CPU, and it sure isn't hacker hardware, but the T-birds are easy to unlock. I haven't seen a made in the USA stamp on Intel Chips, however I think they are made in the US? However, AMD and Intel are both based right at hoem in the USA. The bit about the video card? loading web-pages too fast? need a Geforce3 to surf the web at 300FPS? pathetic. I hate it, he is giveing so many manufacturers a bad name for no reason.

I like the "faster" video card with a link to Matrox. I do not wonder about the author half as much as I wonder about the people who responded to that article. I could hardly read that seriously, and I am frightened by anyone who does. Even if it was written to be serious, it would make it all the more funny. I think the responses are even better than the article. Oh, there should be an IQ test to use the internet.

Yea, me too.
That AMD one was crazy, I also think that no one needs a GeForce 3 to see a command promp, lat alone have Linux dirvers for it. Geeze! |
