Another project on the go...
My daughter is an Anime enthusiast and loves going to the Animethon convention in Edmonton every year. She's totally into the costumes and such... and as such this year, she has me making her sword to go with her costume. The rough shape is completed (without the hand guard) and is simply made of a thin plywood core with balsa wood on each side. I'll be using instant adhesive to lay down a 3/4oz fiberglass cloth, then prime and paint.

Ok... helicopter on hold until I can afford to buy some radio equipment... back to project #2. Included is a pic of what I'm trying to recreate. Yes, I know there is a bit more rounding in the tips... but they're fussy about sharp things at the convention, so they've been rounded a bit.
