I was saddened to hear he was murdered. I read his book.

The perp had spent 4 previous days at VA hospital in Dallas for PTSD and was released to outpatient even though his family begged them to keep him. Bars and shooting ranges are not good therapeutic venues for someone like him. Am surprised Kyle was doing that (shooting range)with guys

It's a real shame this happened because people like Kyle are heroes in my book. True American heroes are those that protect us and not those that entertain us such as athletes and Hollywood.

I can see Kyle bringing mentally stable people to the range but this guy obviously wasn't. As in other cases over the recent years, the mentally unstable should not have access to guns. There are usually indicators that quite often go ignored as to who is an unstable personality.

He'd had cops called on him, I believe 4 in one day? One for shooting a dog, unless my info is totally out of whack. I blame the VA and cops for this. He belonged on the 5th floor at Dallas VA. I know that much for sure. I say again, the shooting range ain't no place for the unstable and this guy fits that bill. How many more out there??
