Very Fast Mowing

I never thought I'd pay anyone to mox the yard but circumstances last year required it and now used to it. I have a good size backyard and the main issue I always had was 4 trees, a birdbath, birdfeeder poles, basketball pole, so I could never just mow in a straight line and get it over with. In fact the front is bigger but faster with no objects. Anyway, for kicks I timed the crew doing the backyard a few minutes ago. One mowing, one weed-eating, one blowing. The mower looked like he was running. 8 minutes for $20. I'd still be just mowing. Unbelievable.

Yeh some of those professional crews do the yard so fast you'd swear they were runn'n! But if you watch close, it cause they each have a specific task and it's timed right.

3-men and eight minutes on a complex yard; that's a 'good' crew. Prolly been together for a while.

$20 bucks for 8 minutes - that's roughly 140/hour if they get a tight route.

I pay my grandson 20 bucks to mow my whole yard (50x129 lot with a 1000 sq ft house on it, and a paved driveway), and it takes him 45 minutes. I do the weed whacking and blowing when he's done.

I don't know possessed me to time them. Was in kitchen looking out window as they began and glanced at the clock. Got me to thinking though so I measured actual mowing space - 60x50. Yard bigger fence to fence and back up to house and patio. I may have to get me some gas and see how long it takes me just to mow.

It's probly best you don't.

Sarge that's a small yard but definitely going to be a pain in the arse to mow. I'd just let the crew do it.
