Question Avatar Again!!

How do I change a gif to 100x100 pixels to use as my avatar? The one I want to use is about 8200 bytes.

I personally keep a copy of the program Lview Pro handy. It small, fast, and works good for quickly manipulating a picture or graphic.

For what it's worth Carl, download the demo, it will do all you need it to do quickly and easily. Heck, I can e-mail it to you (464Kb).

Sarge,
I've used Irfanview in the past and its a nice little proggy. Do you know if I can change a picture to 100x100 pixels? What is the relationship of pixels to resolution or 8100 bytes? As usual, I get lost.

Some like something besides Mickeysoft. Carl, I open Irfanview, click Image, then select resize/resample. You'll see the current size, then play with it. What I do to be safe is copy original somewhere, then work with the one on desktop. Remember it has the option to undo until saved. My avatar (longhorn) is actually a full desktop wallpaper. For sizing on PCMech, I had to cut his legs and butt off
