Merry Christmas!

Well, Christmas 2001... Here's wishing everyone all the best this Christmas and for 2002... How time flies!

When you're spending Christmas day with your family, take a moment to think about and pray for all the men and women who have sacrificed time with their families to ensure we can spend time with ours... The men and women carrying out Operation Enduring Freedom!

God Bless America and our troops!

In this time of gifts, family, turkey, trees and Santa, let us not forget the true meaning of Christmas:

Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth.
This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria.

And everyone was on his way to register for the census, each to his own city.

Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child.

While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night.

And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened.

But the angel said to them, "" Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;

for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

"" This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.''

And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

"" Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.''

Luke Chapter 2
This the Word of the Lord.
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, the Birth of Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.

At this time of year its important to think of all that we have received during the previous 12 months. The gift of friendship is the wonderful gift the members of these Forums continue to give each other. Thank you all.

Got to go to St. Michael's now. The fundamentalist Episcopalians are putting on a traditional Christmas service. I hear they are going to try to use incense again. Last time they burned the stuff it set off the smoke alarm. Highlight of my year.

Thank God the church doesn't have a sprinkler system.

To every member of PCMechanic's wonderful family, Merry Christmas. I hope Santa is good to everyone.

CH

Merry Xmas everyone hope ya'll enjoy it! That box from mwave is sitting under my tree AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGG Is it my new mobo? a new plextor? Its kindof sad really but personally I feel Xmas has very little to do with religeon now more of the ultimate expression of overconsumption of the consumer lifestyle. Oh and technically Christ Wasnt born on Xmas... your just supposed to celebrate then.

Actually, Christ was born on Christmas, since Christmas day is a celebration of His birth. It's just that the original Christmas, the day Jesus was born, wasn't December 25th. Probably more like March or April.

But I do tend to agree with you that Christmas has very little to do with Christ anymore. But then, so do most things aymore...
